This is one of my characters named Mani. Mani is also my avatar, but he's usually called Moon when I use him that way, to differentiate "story him" from "me him".
Mani is what I call an Ulfnar (pr. oolfen-AR): a race of the animal-people known as Lykoi. Ulfnar are Lykoi from the northern parts of the world, usually looking more like wolves or bears and possessing thicker fur and musculature. Mani has traits of wolves, bears, and horses, reflecting his multi-cultural heritage. He also has dark, blood colored eyes, marking him as a Berserker: a person possessed by a hard to control spirit. He got his from an incident in his youth, but was able to bind it within himself, controlling its rage. He's perfectly safe to go out in public without trying to chop anybody to bits.
He has three Brodergeist: familiars created to fill roles in the creators life. The first is called Hamr, a brown bear, and is the previously mentioned raging spirit sealed in Mani's body, turning his eyes bloody. The second is Seidh, a draft horse, created as a countering agent to Hamr's rage. He has no emotion but calm. (You can't make him angry. he doesn't give a shit.) He is also used as a magical reservoir to boost the power of Mani's spells. The third and youngest (and by far youngest-acting) is Galdr, the wolf. Galdr is by far the most infuriating of the three. Think of a puppy with the ability to turn into water. He can get into pretty much anything. His role in Mani's life seems to be an expression of his inner child. Pretty obvious if you think about it...
