What Wyrd Be?

As a first post, I'm gonna yammer about what exactly "Wyrd" is. Wyrd (pronounced like "weird") is pretty much the connection between everything. It has links to the idea of Karma, but I despise the idea of a cosmic "balance" that must be followed, so I don't make that connection, myself. To me, Wyrd is just cause and effect, or like particle physics. If you know all there is to know about something, you can predict pretty much what's going to happen. The "Well of Wyrd" in Norse belief is the place where thoughts, inspiration, and ideas come from. It's where all the "cause" of the world comes from. It's the place that holds everything that doesn't exist yet. I chose the title of the blog with that idea in mind. I see artistic expression as finding things in the Well, and bringing them out, up into existence. That's what having a new idea feels like, kind of. It bubbles up, dark and murky at first, then you see it clearer and finally can understand it perfectly, or it slips back down and you forget it. To drown in the Well is to dive into your own subconscious and imagination, giving yourself completely to it and letting it take you where it will, which is what the blog's purpose is. I'm posting what I find down there. It's incredibly pretentious, but there you have it. It's pretty much my way of saying "I have a lot of ideas!" in a Norse way. Whatever. I'll put up something understandable at some point.
